Bonding

Dental bonding is a non-invasive way to make cosmetic corrections or changes to your teeth. It can be used to repair chipped, discolored or crooked teeth. It can also be used to close small gaps between teeth.

During dental bonding, a tooth-colored composite-resin material is applied and sculpted to your teeth. It’s then hardened with an ultraviolet light, which bonds the material to your teeth. The bonded material is then shaped and polished to produce a lustrous finish that closely matches the appearance of your natural teeth. This procedure can restore and improve a person’s smile, usually in a single appointment.

This composite-resin material is also the cosmetic alternative to the silver amalgam commonly used in fillings and can be used to restore front and back teeth, depending on the location and extent of the tooth decay.
